Free Room 05/04/19 – Miguel Gonçalves Mendes

On April 5th, 6th and 7th, the director of José e Pilar and the Labyrinth of Saudade will invade the Free Room and try to share the odyssey to which he set out to discover The Meaning of Life.
During three days, you will be able to know the intimate life of a Portuguese director in search of financing for his film.

He will be joined by the director Regina Pessoa (Friday), the writer Valter Hugo Mãe (Saturday) – a friend, professional colleague of the arts and one of the protagonists of the new documentary and, via Skype, Pilar del Rio (President of José Saramago Foundation) and the director’s Mother.

Miguel Gonçalves Mendes, has been uninterrupted for five years to film his new project The Sense of Life, with the participation of Andreas Mogensen (astronaut), Dilma Roussef (former President of Brazil), Giovane Brisotto, Julian Assange, Hilmar Örn Hilmarson, Mariko Mori and Valter Hugo Mother.
